The Wing-It Singers is a world music a cappella choir with an eclectic repertoire but specialising in the wonderful harmonies and haunting melodies of traditional songs
from Eastern Europe and Georgia. They sing (usually unaccompanied) in three- or four-part harmony and delight audiences on a regular basis with their beguiling range
of songs and vibrant and heart-felt sound.
The choir is performing at three exciting events over the next few months:
Friday 23 March
OCEAN OF SONG: IN CELEBRATION OF WORLD WATER DAY
at St John-at-Hackney, Lower Clapton Road, E5
A performance with six other choirs and performers of specially chosen songs for water, closing with a collective finale directed by the founder of Sing for Water, Helen Chadwick. The concert is in aid of WaterAid's important projects in Ghana and Malawi to provide clean water and sanitation.
Doors open at 7pm, concert 7.30pm. Tickets £10 on the door.

SONNET SUNDAY AT SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE THEATRE
The Wing-Its join the celebrations at the Globe Festival on the South Bank! There will be 37 of Shakespeare's plays in 37 different languages, an international food market, music, dancers and a marathon of all 154 sonnets.
We will perform three short sets.

ART IN ACTION, OXFORDSHIRE
Wing-Its Singers have been invited back for a third time
to perform at the prestigious Art in Action festival, which takes place over four days in the beautiful grounds of Waterperry House near Oxford.
Since 1977 the festival has showcased artists and craftspeople
demonstrating their skills, with over 400 designers, teachers, musicians and performers. We will be performing two full sets on the final day.
